Kontakt, Registering & Demo Mode

This happens when the library is opened in Kontakt Player.
XPERIMENTA libraries require Kontakt Full.

That is expected. XPERIMENTA libraries are not Player-licensed and therefore do not use .nicnt files or serial numbers.

Open Kontakt and look at the top-left corner. If it says “Kontakt Player”, you are not using the full version.

Refund requests are evaluated case by case.

Compatibility & Requirements

To use XPERIMENTA libraries, we recommend the following minimum system requirements:

Software

  • Native Instruments Kontakt Full (latest version recommended)

Operating System

  • macOS or Windows, compatible with the installed version of Kontakt

CPU

  • Intel Core i3 (or equivalent) or better

  • A more powerful CPU is recommended for large projects or multiple instances

RAM

  • 8 GB RAM minimum

  • 16 GB RAM or more recommended

Storage

  • Sufficient free disk space to install the library
    (at least twice the library size is required during download and installation)

  • SSD strongly recommended for better performance

Internet Connection

  • Stable internet connection required for downloading the library

Audio

  • An external audio interface is recommended for lower latency and better performance

All DAWs compatible with Kontakt, including Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Reaper, and others.

No. XPERIMENTA products are sample libraries that run inside Kontakt Full. Both Mac or Windows are supported, as long as your system is compatible with the required Kontakt version.

No. An internet connection is only required for downloading and installing the library. Once installed, the library works completely offline. 

Licensing

XPERIMENTA libraries can be installed on up to a maximum of 3 computers, provided they are owned and used by the same user.

Typical examples include:

  • a main studio workstation

  • a secondary studio computer

  • a personal laptop

The libraries are intended for personal use only.
Sharing, reselling, or using the libraries on multiple machines by different users is not allowed.

Yes. You can move the library to a new computer, as long as the total number of active installations does not exceed 3 computers and all installations are used by the same user.

Yes. XPERIMENTA libraries can be used in commercial music productions, including films, games, television, advertising, and released music.

You may use the sounds as part of a musical composition or audio production.
However, you are not allowed to:

  • redistribute the samples as isolated sounds

  • resell, sublicense, or share the library or its content

  • use the library to create competing sample libraries or sound products

No. Libraries are licensed to a single user and cannot be shared with collaborators or team members.

Do you offer a student discount?

Please write to info@xperimentaproject.com from your academic email address or attach proof of enrollment.

EDU Discount also appiles to teachers. The EDU code is valid for up to 3 purchases.

No. DUE Pianos has been discontinued. Its direct successor is YM Pianos.

Please contact info@xperimentaproject.com using the email associated with your purchase. We’ll provide the upgrade instructions.

Yes, upgrades are available at reduced prices.

Installation & Usage

For Pulse- Powered Libraries:

The library can be downloaded using Pulse Downloader.

If you don’t have Pulse, you can download it here:

Once installed, open Pulse and follow these steps:

  1. Click “Add a Product”

  2. Enter your redemption key: you will receive it with the order email.

  1. Choose the folder where you want to install the library

  2. Pulse will automatically open the folder once the download is complete

To load the library, open Kontakt Full and load the .nki file:

  • double-click it

  • or drag and drop it into Kontakt

  • or use Kontakt’s browser or File > Load

Please note: download attempts are limited. We strongly recommend backing up your library after installation so you can recover it at any time.

Try increasing your buffer size, disabling unused microphone positions, and using Kontakt’s purge function.
